[It seems Komaeda's good luck is already kicking in; Hinata is in the middle of his break at work when his phone starts ringing, so he can pull it out of his pocket and answer it without getting in trouble. But before he does that, he checks the caller ID and sees that Komaeda is the one calling him. He's never actually called Hinata before, so naturally he's rather curious what the occasion is.

After a brief moment of hesitation, he takes the call and brings his phone up to his ear.]

Hello?

[Komaeda has to suck in a breath at the sound of Hinata's voice, letting the bandages he was using falling to the floor as he bleeds unheeded onto the table he's hovering over.]

H-Hinata-kun! I wasn't sure if you'd pick up... I was just... I have a question for you!

[No, he's not nervous about this at all, what are you talking about?]

[Komaeda is definitely not doing a very good job of hiding his nervousness at all. Hinata can't help but let out a sigh.]

Just calm down and tell me.

[After forcing himself to take a long, slow, deep breath, Komaeda finally brings the point around to what he called about.]

Well... there's a carnival... and I was wondering if maybe you'd like to go with me?

[...oh no, he's bleeding on the phone cord now... he ducks down and picks up the bandages to start trying to wrap himself up again augh.]

[And then there's nothing but silence for a few moments as Hinata thinks about his answer. Just when it starts to seem like he hung up or something, he speaks up again.]

I'm not really much of a carnival person, but... I guess it wouldn't hurt to check it out. When is it?

[Oh no, oh no. Komaeda's about to start trying to see if the line broke somewhere when he hears Hinata finally speak. Ah! It seems his luck is working well for him today after all!]

Tomorrow! It will be a lot of fun, I promise! I'll make sure it'll be the best carnival ever!
