[The feed turns on to show a teenage boy sitting on a bed in some sort of house and an Eevee curled up happily by his side. Man, it sure is a good thing that he managed to find some temporary shelter from the snow...

As he begins to speak, he looks a bit flustered.]

Hi, um... My name is Hajime Hinata. I'm a student from Hope's Peak Academy in Japan, and I just arrived here a little while ago.

[Like anyone cares where he's from... but it just felt right to say for some reason. He pauses for a moment as he tries to figure out what to say next.]

I guess... we're all stuck in the Pokemon world now? It's weird... I haven't played the games in years, but I'm pretty sure that the starting town was supposed to be Pallet Town. Actually, I was looking at the map earlier and none of the towns seemed familiar at all. But I guess I could just be remembering wrong...

Oh, and also...

[He shifts the camera's view to the window where a red-nosed Stantler can be seen some distance away, seemingly beckoning to a group of people standing nearby.]

Since when did Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer become a Pokemon?

[ ...She knows this boy. She definitely, absolutely knows him. There's no doubt who that is, even before he starts talking. The rest of what Hinata said is lost to the reality that it's Hinata-kun. Someone who actually knows her - probably? - is here, one of her classmates.

One of her friends. Saionji had gotten there the other day, too, but...

There's no way of telling when he's from without asking (does he remember her? He has to, right?) but it isn't as though she's not unused to going unrecognized in this place, now. Still, it'd be an entirely different matter if Hinata didn't recognize her, compared to the others here, right? Her classmates...those are people she'd like to recognize her, if at all possible.

...There's really only one way to find out. ]

I'm sure people have already told you it's safe to ride the red nosed ones, according to a friend of mine it takes about three days to walk from Newbark to Cherrygrove- the travel time was cut immensely! So if you choose to take one it'll only take six hours.

[Whoops, Jane got away from herself again. She's been coping with this new situation by trying to help other people out. She doesn't know much more about this world than Hinata would but....]

So I see I wasn't the only one who was placed here around this time. It feels like a dream, doesn't it?

Um, you're not remembering wrong. Pallet and the other towns are in the neighbouring Kanto region, and you're in Johto.

[Gundam totally would be a Pokemon fan........ WAIT WHAT???

Once the other boy's presence fully registers in Hinata's brain, he lets out a startled scream and jumps off the bed, which in turn causes his Eevee to jump up and be equally startled. While Hinata stares at Gundam as if he's looking at a ghost (because he is in Hinata's mind), Eevee looks back and forth between the two with wide eyes, wondering what the problem is here.]

T-Tanaka?!

[After having the living daylights scared out of him by Gundam's presence, Hinata figured that he might see other dead classmates of his here, too. But he was not at all expecting to see Nanami, considering that she's not even a real person. Does that mean they're still inside a program...?

He quickly leaves that train of thought behind for now, though, because he's overwhelmed with an immense feeling of joy and relief just from seeing Nanami's face. They had just finished saying their goodbyes to each other, so Hinata honestly thought that he was never going to see her again.]

N-Nanami...!

[He's so happy that he could cry. But he won't. Gundam doesn't remember anything about his death, so Nanami might not remember hers, either. Besides, it sounds like she's saying something important, so he forces himself to calm down so he can pay attention.

...And then of course she'd suddenly switch the topic over to the video games. Wow. Great priorities there, Nanami. But since it is a very Nanami thing to do, that actually makes him even happier. Right now he's just really glad that he has the chance to talk to her again like this, so he'll let it slide this time.]

Um, I picked Charmander because I thought Charizard looked the coolest out of the other starters' final evolutions. But anyway, why do I need to go to Goldenrod so urgently? Is that where you are?

[Hinata has absolutely no complaints about meeting up with Nanami. Although Goldenrod does seem to be really far away from where he is now, so he probably will need a ride if he wants to get there within a reasonable amount of time. He supposes he'll just leave that up to Nanami, though, since she already said she'd ask someone.]

[Holy shit, that makes three dead classmates in a row. Are they all here? That would be pretty nice... although he could do without seeing a certain someone's face here, to be honest. But that someone isn't Saionji, so who cares about that right now.

At the mention of being hit, his Eevee flattens its ears and whimpers a bit, also staring at the Mawile with an unsure expression.]

Right, I'm in Goldenrod with all of the senpais...although I guess for you that wouldn't be the term. [ A student who is younger and started after someone says senpai, right? That's how it goes, right? ] I'm at the house with all of them and Shaun-kun...I'll ask Kirigiri-senpai and Naegi-senpai about it right away. Ishimaru-senpai and Oowada-senpai went for Saionji-san already, so it might be someone else...?

I don't have a badge to use Fly or a Pokemon with that move, or I'd say I would come...sorry, Hinata-kun. It's only been two weeks. I'll have to train a lot more for that sort of thing.

Yeah... though a friend of mine insists that I should get to Goldenrod right away, so I'll probably have to do some traveling anyway.

[Hope's Peak? Well that will certainly get Mondo's attention. He's kind of worn out after all that traveling to pick up Saionji, but when he replies to the video he's grinning widely anyway. As usual, his hair is styled in that over-the-top pompadour and he's wearing the Crazy Diamonds jacket, which definitely doesn't look warm enough for this sort of weather.]

So you've played the game, huh? Well, you can go visit Pallet Town if you want, but you should probably head toward Goldenrod first. Nanami and Saionji are both from your class, right? They're both here.

This is Ayani. [Saionji promptly grabs Ayani by the root between its two heads, and she starts yelping.] She's not soft or responsive at allll! She makes weird noises, but never gets hurt if I throw her against the wall or something. But I'm preeetty sure your 'Eevee' if Ayani can get her chompers on it!

Chomp chomp chomp! Tearing it apart like a rainbow of meat! C'mon, you heard that whimper! Imagine how much different noises yours can make!

[That kind of reason really isn't that uncommon, so Hinata's not really surprised about that... More importantly, Kirigiri and Naegi are here, too? He supposes he'll be hearing from them soon, then. Saionji just messaged him not too long ago and she mentioned some guys named Mondo and Ishimaru coming to pick her up, so he supposes that Mondo and Oowada are the same person.]

It's okay, it's not-- wait, you've been here for two weeks?!

[Whether she remembers it or not, they had just spoken before Hinata suddenly woke up here, so how...?!]
